8:00 AM Load-in begins at the ShowPlex
12:00 PM Doors open to the general public
1:00 PM If P.A. is set up, drummers play along with songs played through the P.A.
1:30 PM Play-along stops, first pre-show entertainment begins (TBA)— 15 minutes.
1:45 PM Play-along resumes
2:00 PM Play-along stops, second pre-show entertainment begins (TBA)—15 minutes.
2:15 PM Play-along resumes
2:15 PM Meet and greet begins with celebrity drummers—30 minutes
2:30 PM Play-along stops, second pre-show entertainment begins (TBA)—15 minutes.
2:45 PM Play-along resumes
3:00 PM (Chris to stage) Chris welcomes drummers
Chris invites military band to come in (they come to the front)
Military band plays the National Anthem
Military band departs, while their bandleader joins our fellow drummers
Chris recognizes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5-year attendees (everyone makes noise for 30 seconds)
3:10 PM Chris introduces emcee (emcee to stage; Chris leaves stage)
3:12 PM Emcee greets crowd, does banter, introduces Alan White and his new band, White
3:15 PM Emcee conducts as drummers as Alan's band performs "Imgaine" which he recorded with John Lennon in 1971.
3:16 PM Emcee introduces Don Doman (Don to stage)
3:18 PM Emcee interviews Don Doman about hearing regeneration research
3:21 PM Don introduces song/video
3:22 PM Song and video play
3:26 PM Don leaves stage, emcee introduces Bob Weyrick (Bob to stage)
3:28 PM Emcee talks to Bob about Network Services
3:30 PM Bob leaves the stage, emcee introduces Donn Bennett (Donn plays drum solo, then goes to stage)
3:32 PM Emcee chats with Donn about Woodstick, school music programs, etc., highlights event sponsors, invites Donn to introduce special guests. (Emcee to the side of the stage)
3:37 PM Donn introduces each drummer on stage, each drummer plays short to medium-length solo.
3:47 PM Donn invites emcee back to stage (emcee to stage, Donn to his drums)
3:48 PM Emcee has assigned person come to the stage with the tickets for the first drawing, draws ticket
3:51 PM Emcee introduces the Wailers (Wailers come to the stage, emcee to side of stage)
3:52 PM Wailers introduce themselves, invite the drummers to play along with them (play two songs)
3:58 PM Emcee back to stage for next prize drawing, one of the Wailers does the drawing (?)
4:00 PM Emcee to side of stage, Wailers play two more songs w/all the drummers
4:10 PM Emcee comes back to the stage, announces the three largest pledge-getters in ascending order and their respective prizes. Each winner comes to the stage and stays until all three are on stage with emcee. Sponsors are, again, thanked. (Prize winners back to their drums).
4:18 PM Emcee reintroduces the Wailers for one more song (emcee to side of the stage, Wailers play another song, then leave the stage, emcee back on stage)
4:24 PM Emcee introduces conductor (emcee to side of stage, conductor to stage)
4:25 PM Conductor describes how to follow a conductor, describes “trading fours”
4:30 PM Conductor leads trading fours between each celebrity drummer and all the participant drummers, three or four complete cycles.
4:40 PM (IF we have 534 drummers or more, volunteer comes to the stage and tells the emcee, who stops the conductor and makes the announcement of how many drummers are there. If less than 533, skip this step!)
4:42 PM Conductor has Chris demonstrate beat, has group practice beat together.
4:45 PM Conductor conducts record-breaking song
4:52 PM Everyone cheers! Wailers back to stage, emcee to side of the stage
4:53 PM Wailers and everyone else play one last song
4:57 PM Chris, Donn, Don, the conductor and the emcee come to the stage to each thank all the participants.
5:00 PM Load-out begins
