We hope you enjoy the Woodstick 2007 Video. The Racing Machine, the music and instrumental production for the video was chosen for its beat and energy as well as the fact that it's just this side of over-driven, which gives the music a sound quality near to the fuzzy rumble that many people hear during normal conversations. Since Woodstick is raising money for hearing research this seemed a perfect match. The Racing Machine was made by Gameloft but recorded by Super Cameraman. In addition to the music several other tracks were laid down in post production with sound effects symbolizing what we hear in real life that damages our ears as well as some of the things people with hearing loss miss. With hearing loss the number one disability in the world and the number one birth defect, distortion is nothing new. The video was produced by PNW Video Productions.
The video features images of celebrity drummers and other Guinness world record holders from previous years. Also, you'll see Dr. Edwin Rubel who discovered that birds can regenerate inner-ear hair cells damaged by noise. As Dr. Rubel says, "If birds can do it, why can't we?"
